Work in Confined Spaces - Advanced
This confined spaces course is aimed at those who are planning and / or working in a space where entry and exit are limited and where one or more risks occur or may arise during ongoing work. The course include, among other things, safe access, fall protection, complicated and basic rescues, gas measurement and correct use of respiratory protection. The practical part of the course is performed in our specially built training facility for work in confined spaces. The facility can also be filled with smoke and / or darkened for eg training by the rescue service.
Target group
You who are to work or plan work in , hard-to-reach confined spaces where a hazardous atmosphere may occur, or which may arise during work. For example in boilers, drains, tanks, storage tanks, silos, process vessels, etc. in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, process industry, pulp industry, treatment plant, etc.
Course objectives
Understand laws and regulations. Be able to understand and find sources of risk and make risk assessments. Be able to make rescue and evacuation plans as well as work permits and work routines. Be able to use personal protective equipment and gas detector. Be able to perform horizontal and vertical rescue in different scenarios and with different rescue equipment. Know how to handle an injured person. Be able to take action in the event of an accident or incident.
